PUZZLING EXPERIENCE

One of the many absurdities of modern day Science is the theory of “worm holes”. I had recently read an article on the same.
( Article : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-1269288/STEPHEN-HAWKING-How-build-time-machine.html) It is being said that there are many minute holes called worm holes, in space (not only outer space, everywhere)
These are the ends of tunnels. These tunnels connect different places or even different instances of time. It is also contemplated that if these holes are made larger, even man can pass through the tunnel and hence could attain the dream of time travel.

I had read “THE TIME MACHINE” once and after reading this article, I felt awe for the developments in Science mankind has achieved. But naturally, I forgot about it as the days passed only to be reminded after a week through a rather stupid but still puzzling experience.

For most of the people, it may seem downright stupid. But to me, who always thinks out some logical explanation for everything, there was a problem at hand. It was say around 11pm. When I went in to my bathroom, I saw a BIG BLACK BUG of the size of quarter of golf ball lying on the floor on its back trying to get upright. The door had been closed for a long time; the only window had nets installed; the drain from the wash basin and bathroom goes to pits and there are no openings in the piping; there is no question of it coming through the closet as there is water in it always. I am sure that there are no holes in the piping and even if there is then also such a bug (which is attracted to light) coming through a dark pipe of more than 10m long is next to impossible.

Next day we removed it but my mind kept on thinking for a reason as to how the bug entered the bathroom? If the bug had flied into the house, then it would have had to pass the main door and the bathroom door without being noticed which is not plausible because of the size of the bug. It couldn’t have walked in because the main door also has a primary net door with spring installed. That is how I stated thinking whether it is possible that this insect came from thin air?? Or may be through the worm hole (could there be this much big worm hole??) in the thin air….. :-o

And once this thought occurred I started thinking about the consequences of traveling in time; though we can give many advantages, the ill effects of worm hole are in plenty. Some of them to list are:

1) If worm holes are very minute as the Scientists explain, then couldn’t these holes be there inside us? So once the secret is mastered, could we sit in a lab at one place and feed some deadly viruses into the system of some human being at some other place?? The only thing that is necessary is a tunnel with one end at the lab and the other inside the target.

2) What if people are able to travel to their past? When I travel to an instant 5 years back, wouldn’t there be another me at that instant? And wouldn’t there be a void at the instant at which I started my time travel?

3) We have studied in history how one civilization invaded others. Those civilizations were separated by space. But what if some future civilizations well equipped in warfare than us travel through time and invade us??

Yes! There may be many good points but there are a lot of horrifying ill effects that stare at us in our face when we try to travel in time. Let us hope for a good future.....
